Our natural state as human beings is to enjoy giving to others without an expectation of receiving anything in return. People strive for connection, but we become confused about how. If we have enough awareness, we can remained focus on how we can make our lives more wonderful, which is by sharing our resources. This is easy for us because we see ourselves in others.
When our basic life needs are met, we feel certain feelings, and when they are not met, we feel other feelings. We can strive to fulfill our needs by requesting from others an an action that can fulfill out needs and enrich our lives. Likewise, when other people use their words, we can see down to the feelings and needs that they have, and can provide empathy and ask how we can fulfill their needs. This way, we can have rewarding relationships with others.
Our focus and attention can be attuned to feelings and needs in all situations, and we can make life more wonderful for ourselves and others.
